Evaluating PC Service Contracts

Many individuals are more than happy to sell you a PC service contract whether or not they know what they're doing. Since computer work is generally billed by the hour, hiring someone without the needed expertise can really leave you up a creek without a paddle. So, how do you evaluate the value of a PC service contract?

Research, Research, Research

When you are looking for a great service contract, talk to friends and colleagues who may have experience with high quality firms. You may also want to do research on the Internet. The most important thing, though, is to read the terms carefully so that you know exactly what and who you're getting.

Many high school students, and like-minded adults, believe that they are computer experts when they don't really have what you need in a pinch. A firm should be able to provide you with past work history and references to verify their expertise.
