Starting a Computer Business – Hiring Employees

Hiring employees can help you make more money, but the biggest drawback is the extra paperwork and taxes that are due. Often, the bad outweighs the good, but you want to think through the process first.

If you decide that your company can support an employee, then go ahead with the process. Decide what you can pay and what you need. If you can simply contract with a freelancer then you may want to do that for awhile.

Researching the pay of similar jobs in the help wanted ads can give you a good idea of what to advertise. Sometimes you may be able to compensate for lower pay with better hours or benefits packages. Use the newspaper, employment agencies, and word of mouth to find a great new employee.
