Windows Worm Warnings No Joke

Users beware! Microsoft’s Windows worm warnings aren’t just a drill. There’s a serious problem here, and administrators need to download the patch immediately. Within days, there could easily be a worm that would take advantage of the vulnerability.

I mean, let’s be real. When the government actually becomes proactive about an IT issue by releasing their own warning, you know it has to be bad. The Department of Homeland Security released the following statement: "Windows users are encouraged to avoid delay in applying this security patch. This vulnerability could impact government systems, private industry, and critical infrastructure, as well as individual and home users."

All the hubbub is about a bug patched Tuesday by the newest update. According to security experts, the bug could easily rival the 2003 MSBlast Attack that created such havoc. So, make sure that you and your clients have updated your computers.
